Baptisms are scheduled after the 4pm and 11am Masses. The DRE will call to confirm the date and arrange baptism preparation if necessary. Baptism preparation is required for any parents who have not previously participated in one before. Baptism classes will be held the 3rd Wednesday of each month.

God Parent Information

A Godparent must be a Confirmed Catholic, at least 16 years old, and in good standing with The Catholic Church (IE not married outside of The Church). Godparents need to have a letter of good standing from their Parish if they are not members of St. Leo's. Only one Godparent is needed. Up to two is allowed. If there are two, one must be male and one must be female. A note regarding a non-Catholic Godparent (Christian Witness): A baptized person who belongs to another Christian community may be admitted only as a “Christian witness” (not a godparent) provided that there is at least one Roman Catholic godparent who fulfills the above criteria. A non-baptized person cannot be a witness.
