Serrans are lay Catholics – men and women of all ages and from all walks of life dedicated to promote and foster vocations.
The objectives of Serra are:

To foster and promote vocations to the ministerial priesthood in the Catholic Church, as a particular vocation to service and to support priests in their sacred ministry;

Also, to encourage and affirm vocations to consecrated religious life in the Catholic Church;

Finally, to assist members to recognize and respond in their own lives, to God’s call to holiness in Jesus Christ and through the Holy Spirit.
The Big Smoke
The 7th Annual Serra Club of North Central North Dakota Big Smoke BBQ and Competition has been scheduled for Sunday, June 23rd, 2024, at the Flickertail Gardens on the ND State Fairgrounds. Gates open at 3:00 PM. Entry TICKETS may be purchased from any Serra Club member, at the entrance door, or by calling Rob Lowe at (701) 240-6063. To register your team in the competition, please contact Deacon Tom Magnuson at (701) 389-0572. The Entry Fee is $100.00 per team. Seminarians will be serving pulled pork, BBQ chicken thighs, salads, and drinks. All proceeds from this event are used to foster and promote Vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life.
Attention All Pie Bakers: The Big Smoke BBQ will include a Silent Auction Pie Contest. Gourmet Chef in downtown Minot is sponsoring the contest and donating a prize. For more information and to register call them at 701-839-8928.
